Filter Delta for Jira / Data deletion
Your monitors.
Your choice to remove.
Remove one monitor or all your own Filter Delta data from an installation, without changing Jira issues or filters.
Jira Cloud Preparing for public release
Delete one monitor
- Open Jira → Apps → Filter Delta.
- Find the monitor and select Delete.
- Confirm the action.
- Wait until the request reports success, then refresh the page.
This removes that monitor’s Filter Delta configuration and snapshot history. It does not modify or delete Jira issues, projects, labels, assignments or saved filters. Deleted snapshot history cannot be recovered through the app.
Delete all your app data
- Open Jira → Apps → Filter Delta.
- In the Privacy note section, select Delete my app data.
- Confirm the action.
- Keep the browser open until the completion receipt appears if you want immediate confirmation.
- After success, refresh the page. Your monitor list in that installation should be empty.
The job removes your owner record, monitors, snapshots, owner-scoped request records and registry entries for the current app installation. It does not remove other users’ monitors, data in another installation, Jira issues or Jira filters.
Both deletion controls remain available when the app licence is inactive or unavailable.
Wait for verified completion
Deletion runs as a queued job. An accepted request is not the same as completed deletion. The browser receives a token-protected completion receipt after the job verifies that no owner-scoped records remain.
Temporary cancellation markers stop stale queued jobs from recreating removed data. Those markers and the completion receipt may remain for up to 7 days. The receipt contains technical status, expiry and verified deletion counts, but no account ID, owner reference, JQL, issue IDs or Jira content.
Automatic retention and account changes
Snapshot history expires after 14 days or when a monitor exceeds 100 retained snapshots, whichever limit applies first. Expired snapshots are unavailable for comparisons, and background maintenance removes them. Request records expire after 7 days.
Filter Delta also deletes affected owner data when Forge personal-data reporting returns a closed or updated account response. More detail is in privacy and app data.
Before uninstalling
Use Delete my app data before an administrator uninstalls the app when possible. Each user’s control covers their own data in that installation.
Uninstalling alone is not a promise of immediate deletion. The lifecycle of remaining hosted storage is controlled by Atlassian Forge. Once uninstalled, the app’s own deletion controls are no longer accessible.
If deletion does not complete
Contact info@untiefe.dev or use the details on our support page. Include the visible request ID, approximate timestamp and time zone, and safe error message if one is shown.
Do not send the completion token, credentials, private JQL or issue content. If the app has already been uninstalled, mention that in your message.
